Terms of Service

Last updated: 8 August 2026

These Terms govern your use of CricTakkar, a free cricket quiz and trivia platform for Indian cricket fans, operated by its founder, Yojak Vyas, as an individual based in Maharashtra, India. By creating an account or using CricTakkar, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

The single most important thing in this document: CricTakkar is, and always will be, completely free to play. There is no cash-prize contest, no paid entry, and no way to convert anything you earn in the app — XP, badges, streaks, tournament wins — into real money, vouchers, or any other thing of value. Nothing in CricTakkar is gambling, betting, or real-money gaming, and we don't hold (or need) a licence under India's Online Gaming Act because we don't offer real-money games. This isn't a marketing line — it's a permanent design boundary we will never cross, no matter what feature gets added later.

1. Who can use CricTakkar

  • You need a valid email address (or Google account) to create a profile
  • One account per person — don't create multiple accounts to game the leaderboard
  • If you're under 18, please use CricTakkar only with a parent or guardian's awareness and consent — see our Privacy Policy for more
  • The information you give us when signing up should be accurate

2. The Service

CricTakkar gives you free access to cricket quizzes, Cricket Wordle, Ranking Challenge, Speed Round, Cricket Poetry, multiplayer battles, and tournaments. XP, levels, badges, and streaks exist purely for fun and bragging rights — they have no monetary value, cannot be bought or sold, and cannot be redeemed for cash, goods, or any other real-world value, now or in the future.

Facts and figures in the app

We take care to verify cricket facts, statistics, and records against multiple public sources before they go into the quiz. Even so, cricket records are extensive and occasionally disputed between official sources themselves — if you spot something you believe is wrong, we'd genuinely like to know (see Section 9).

3. Fair play

We ask you to play fairly:

  • Don't try to manipulate your own score, XP, or leaderboard position outside of normal gameplay
  • Don't harass, abuse, or impersonate other players — in multiplayer, in Cricket Poetry comments, or anywhere else
  • Don't attempt to disrupt the Service for other players (for example, deliberately breaking a live tournament or match)

We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these rules. Because CricTakkar's multiplayer currently runs without a dedicated game server, we can't catch every kind of technical cheating in real time — but accounts found to be doing so may still be actioned when discovered.

4. Content you post

If you post a poem, comment, or anything else to CricTakkar, you keep ownership of it — but you give us permission to display it on the Service so other players can see it. Don't post anything that is illegal, abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's copyright. Content reported by multiple players may be automatically hidden pending review, and we may remove content or the account that posted it at our discretion.

5. Third-party links

CricTakkar may show links to third-party platforms — for example, affiliate links to fantasy-sports apps like Dream11, My11Circle, or MPL. These are separate services with their own terms and their own age/eligibility rules, entirely outside CricTakkar's control. We may earn a referral commission if you sign up through such a link, but CricTakkar itself is not a party to, and is not responsible for, whatever happens on that third-party platform.

6. Advertising and Premium (planned, not live yet)

To keep the core game free forever, we plan to introduce non-intrusive ads (shown only between quizzes and on results screens, never mid-question) and an optional paid Premium subscription (ad-free access, exclusive quiz packs, a Pro badge) billed through Razorpay. Specific Premium subscription terms — pricing, billing cycle, and cancellation — will be published here before that feature goes live, and you'll be shown them again at the point of purchase.

7. Our intellectual property

The CricTakkar name, logo, quiz questions, and app design belong to us. Cricket statistics and historical facts themselves are, of course, public information — what belongs to us is the specific way we've curated, verified, and presented them.

8. Disclaimer and limits

CricTakkar is provided "as is." We do our best to keep it accurate, available, and fun, but we don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we're not liable for any loss arising from your use of the Service, to the extent permitted by Indian law. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have that can't be limited under applicable consumer protection law.

9. Contact and grievances

For any question about these Terms, a complaint, or to report content, email yojak4vyas+crictakkar@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Maharashtra.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as CricTakkar grows — we'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever we do. Continuing to use CricTakkar after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
